President's Message
Mr. Chidambar V. Joshi
Hon. President, CEEAMA
Dear All,
Greetings from the President!
CEEAMA was founded in 2004 as an organisation of practising electrical consultants. The basic purpose of its foundation was to come together on a common platform to discuss and share knowledge, establish a code of ethics in the consulting field, co-operate with similar organisations to build relationships, conduct electrical safety awareness programs for the public, and interact with educational institutions on practical-oriented syllabi.
During its journey, CEEAMA has evolved as per the requirement of the time and situation while keeping its main purpose intact. Eminent persons have consistently led CEEAMA to make it a well-known organisation in the electrical field.
Initially, CEEAMA members worked towards building the organisation. From 2004 to 2020, CEEAMA's membership grew from 8 members to 445 members. At this juncture, to have a legal entity, CEEAMA was registered under the Companies Act as a "No Profit No Loss" company.
To stay in touch with the latest products available in the market, CEEAMA adopted manufacturers of electrical goods and materials as Associate Members. From 2011, in line with its goals, CEEAMA began organising "CEEAMATECH" — a one-day theme-based conference. Four such conferences were organised in a row, by which time total membership, including associate members, had crossed the 300 mark.
In 2015, a 3-day exhibition named "CEEAMATECH 2015 — Consultant's Choice" was organised in Pune. It was very successful and much appreciated by the electrical industry, increasing CEEAMA's visibility and reach.
It was then decided to conduct a one-day conference and a 3-day exhibition every alternate year. In 2019, CEEAMA successfully organised the 8th edition of CEEAMATECH with 110 exhibitors, drawing more than 5,000 visitors.
Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, CEEAMA organised more than 25 webinars to keep the connection alive between manufacturers and consultants — with an excellent response from manufacturers, including Associate Members. To continue this commitment to sharing knowledge, further webinars will be arranged, along with training programs to bridge the gap between fresh engineers and industry requirements.
I now appeal to all of you to strengthen CEEAMA by becoming a member of the association. Your suggestions on improving CEEAMA's activities and operations are, as always, welcome.
Chidambar Joshi
Hon. President
